Clinical Sessions
  • Simulation for Intra-Operative Complications during Implant Placement: Participants will learn through models, simulating real-life scenarios.
  • CBCT Treatment Planning: Participants will gain experience in planning treatment for peri-implant defects using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
  • Hands-On Day 1:Attendees will engage in an interactive, hands-on clinical session, where they will tackle various complex dental implant scenarios. They will compete to devise the best treatment options, honing their problem-solving and decision-making skills in the process. During this exciting session, attendees will not only expand their knowledge of dental implant complications but also learn how to think on their feet and adapt to the ever-changing clinical landscape.
  • Hands-On Day 2: Attendees will learn how to expertly perform soft-tissue conditioning around dental implants, a crucial skill in preventing complications and ensuring long-term success. Through hands-on practice, participants will acquire the techniques necessary to maintain optimal soft-tissue health in various clinical situations.

        Dr. Andrea Ravidà, a notable Misch Educator and Co-Director of Education at the Misch Implant Institute, is a renowned periodontist currently leading the Periodontics Department at the University of Pittsburgh. With advanced training in Periodontics from the University of Michigan and a PhD from the University of Granada, Dr. Ravidà’s expertise spans periodontal and implant diseases and therapies. His tenure as a full-time faculty member at the University of Michigan underscores his commitment to teaching. Dr. Ravidà’s research focuses on peri-implantitis, periodontitis, and short implants, contributing over 70 peer-reviewed articles and many international conference presentations.         Dr. Assi earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University where he also finished a post-graduate AEGD residency enhancing his skills. Dr. Assi’s commitment to education and his passion for Implant Dentistry led him to pursue additional training in Dental Implantology at the prestigious Misch Implant Institute where he graduated as a Fellow with a dual certification in Implant Surgery and Prosthodontics.

        Dr. Assi holds a Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology, a Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a Diplomate status with the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Assi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Also, he received Fellowship and Mastership Implant Certifications with DentalXP in affiliation with NYU.

        Currently, Dr. Assi is a Co-Chairman for the Oral Implantology Residency Program at the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic, an Expert and Clinical Instructor at DentalXP, a Faculty at Salama Implant Institute of Miami, and a Faculty at the Misch Implant Institute. Dr. Assi serve as an examiner for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry credentialing process for Fellowship and Associate Fellowship Exams, and also as an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology.  

        Dr. Assi has published several articles in implant dentistry and lectures nationally and internationally, sharing his passion for implant dentistry. Believing in co-elevation, he founded the Alpha Study Club as an educational platform for clinicians to share knowledge and experiences.

        Dr. Assi is in private practice as an Oral Implantologist at Alpha Dental Practice & Implant Center which he founded over a decade ago utilizing a prosthetically driven approach and cutting-edge digital technology.

        Dr. Assi enjoys giving back to the community and participates in dental missions both nationally and overseas.
