Dr. Carl Misch Honored at ICOI August 23rd
Dr. Carl Misch Honored
After the completion of ICOI’s Chicago meeting on Saturday, August 23rd, a special event was held to honor Dr. Carl Misch. Over 400 family members, colleagues and friends were in attendance. The original concept was suggested by Dr. Hilt Tatum to “celebrate this wonderful man.”
Everyone in attendance supported this event as did corporate friends from Root Laboratory, Salvin Dental and BioHorizons. Carl’s just released book on implant prosthodontics was available at this event and Carl personally signed many copies and book plates. The ICOI, the AAID and the AO informed their members about this unique function which included all of Carl’s children. Of note, American Dental Association president Dr. Charles Norman, coincidentally an ICOI member, presented the ADA Distinguished Service Award to Carl. He stated that this is the ADA’s highest honor and recognizes a substantial contribution to his dental colleagues and dentistry itself. Carl, congratulations.
